On 5 July 2025 Rotary Sunrise inducted their new 2025/26 president Ivan Rabinowitz – he replaced outgoing president Panganai Dhliwayo.

The new office bearers are: 

• Doreen Gough – Secretary.     
• Christo du Plessis – Treasurer.                           
• Abena Kwayisi – Public Relations.                          
• Chris Pretorius – Foundation. 
• Panganai Dhliwayo- Youth Development.

Ivan’s first official duty was welcoming Patrick Kain as our newest member. Tsatsi Thekgo one of the RYLA learners spoke about the leadership training. Grant Adam from Hartebeespoort club added festive colour including red potted geraniums we were lucky to take home. Patrick kindly sponsored the wine for the toasts. In between, AG Thabang Chiloane toasted South Africa and later made us laugh with some jokes. PDG Chris Pretorius toasted Rotary International and reminisced in his and Enlim’s Rotary highlights. The 2025 – 2026 Rotary Year lies ahead with the slogan Unite for Good.
